Planning And Zoning Commission

Rector’s Planning and Zoning Commission has the responsibility of making certain the city develops in an orderly and positive manner. The city’s zoning ordinances are designed to promote positive growth and protect property investments of city residents.

The commission meets periodically and upon request when a planning or zoning issue arises in the community.

Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission are Mike Dowdy (chairman), Phillip Gipson, Carroll Hamm, Jerry Horton and Bill Sanders.
